www.casasporcrsito.blogspot.com Today we ask you to join us in praying for the financial and prayer support of the staff missionaries of Casas por Cristo. Every missionary has answered God’s call to serve; walking by faith, to serve Christ and His people. Each missionary has left the comforts of friends, family, and their hometown to move to the middle of the desert to be used by God. They work hard every week to accomplish all of the ministry’s tasks that keep it all moving. When not building across the border, they can be found in the office doing everything from answering phone and emails, getting materials ready, and meeting with families and pastors. These staff missionaries do all of the jobs necessary to accomplish the task of leading international mission trips; all the while raising their own support. We ask you to pray for the staff today; that they may be confident in their decision to lead a life of service, and that God will bless them. Pray that God will provide the financial gifts, and prayer support needed to further and continue a life of a service. Join us in praying for Bob, Brandon, Brittany, David Q., David R., Gwen, Jason L., Jason R., Josh, Justin, Kurt, Pete, Scott, Mikell, and Miquel. www.casasporcristo.org
February 1, 2011 we responded with this message: “It will be 8 degrees Wednesday night. We are burdened for the families in Mexico that might not survive through the night. We are purchasing as many socks, hats, gloves, and blankets as we can to take across the border tomorrow. If you want to help us with this today please follow the link and choose the GENERAL FUND program area. Write “FREEZING” in the comment box. Thank you for helping us respond to this urgent need!” The following day Wednesday February 2, 2011 after spending the entire afternoon and evening gathering as many blankets, hats, gloves, scarves, socks and jackets we could find left in stores we set out to Juarez Mexico to give out all that we collected. What transpired that day was something that few others if any had done that day. With wind chill dipping to -15 degrees that day the almost 2 million people that make up Juarez were all huddled in their homes, some of them struggling to stay warm and stay alive. This is a video of the actions that took place that day and this is a thank you to the generous donors who have given and continue to give. We are still collecting money and will use it to purchase for emergencies like this in the future. To help with the cause go to www.casasporcristo.org and click donate.
