Country artist Keith Urban was in Knoxville on Friday, August 12, 2011, to present keys to a new Habitat for Humanity homeowner Regina Olum. The house, located in Lonsdale, is part of “Music Row”, a Knoxville Habitat for Humanity initiative inspired and funded by the Charlie and Moll Anderson Family Foundation. Urban gave a concert at the Anderson’s home last year to raise funds to support Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. The house will be known as the Keith Urban House.

Milwaukee Bucks star Brandon Jennings helped Habitat for Humanity as part of M&I Bank’s Community Day, where hundreds of employees helped out around the area. It was part of a busy summer for Jennings, who traveled to India and will be heading all across the nation for various events.

Dedication of Habitat House in honor of Michelle Moses December 20th, 2009 Cincinnati, Ohio The Michelle Moses Memorial House was dedicated in a ceremony December 20, the first anniversary of Michelles tragic death. Approximately 100 family members, friends and community members were in attendance. Several speakers reflected on the many contributions she made and lives that she touched in her short 21-year life. Among the speakers were Dan Nowlin, Senior Vice-President of Store Operations, Sunglass Hut; Garry Moses, Michelles father and AVP, Sunglass Hut Store Operations; and Danetta Lumpkins, the house recipient. Moses thanked everyone for their sincere support and help in building this home in memory of his daughter. Tours of the house and a balloon launch were also part of the ceremony. Guests were invited to write a note to Michelle on a pink balloon, which were released into the sky.

Habitat for Humanity International visited the NYSE to celebrate 500000th/500001st Habitat for Humanity Milestone Houses in Kenya and Paterson, NJ, on World Habitat Day, Oct. 3.
