Summer Internship | Casas por Cristo

Posted in Casas Por Cristo | 2 comments

www.casasporcristo.org offers summer internships leading mission trips around the globe. These four college students wanted to lead mission trips through our mission internship program. In one weeks time volunteer groups build homes for families living in extreme poverty. This is the story of four college students who were hired to lead trips of volunteers in Juarez Mexico, Acuna Mexico and Guatemala. At the beginning of the year Casas por Cristo begins interviewing for summer internships. Because we start this process months in advance of the actual summer mission trip season it is sometimes difficult to know the number of interns that will actually be needed for the summer months. However, this year between February and March the registrations stopped coming in and people were not signing up to volunteer their time to serve families living along the United States and Mexico border. As a result, the seven interns that were hired just a few weeks before were left with a decision to make. What were they to do now that their summer plans had changed? Four of the seven interns refused to take “no” for an answer. This is the story of how they changed ten families lives forever during their summer break. What did you do this summer? More importantly what are you going to do next summer? If you want more information of being a part of something great then follow this link for a chance to have a summer that will change your life forever. www.casasporcristo.org
